The enchanting little village of Tilba Tilba sits at the base of Gulaga, a short drive south of Central Tilba. Its fertile soils and lush pastures are the perfect dairy farming country and an exquisite drive.
Venture through a stunning 3.5 acres of romantic woodland garden and visit the gorgeous nursery. Cute antique and gift stores are worth a visit for their charm and lovely wares. Wonderful heritage accommodation can be found in the Tilba region. The many stylish B & Bs, guesthouses and cosy cottages have hospitality to match the views.
A significant landmark for the southern
half of the Eurobodalla region, Gulaga was named Mount Dromedary by Captain
Cook in 1770. Gulaga had great spiritual and cultural significance to the Yuin
people, whose descendents today still hold the mountain in special reverence.
It is a truly magical experience to walk Gulaga. A track leaves from behind the
general store and will take you through amazing rainforest to the summit. Allow
the best part of a day to enjoy your walk. The Narooma Visitor Centre can
provide local knowledge and a map.
